"CASTLE ROSE GARDEN BLOOMS"
<back>
The walled Rose Garden overlooking the American Channel and Singer Castle’s South Boat House and Clock Tower that was painstakingly replanted in late May and early June by Kathleen Murphy of Olde Tyme Again has responded to the warm sun and frequent rains and bloomed gloriously. Kathleen has returned to Dark Island several times to nurture her plantings and to oversee the gardens’ care. All who visit Singer Castle can now enjoy the fruits of her labor.

The gentle fragrance of the roses and other antique plantings fill the air and the garden is awash in vibrant shades of pink, purple and blue with splashes of yellow and white. The Rose Garden now provides a beautiful setting for wedding ceremonies held at the castle. Guests enjoy the beauty of the wedding framed by the backdrop of flowers, the castle, the clock tower and the St. Lawrence River.
