"SUMMER OR WINTER AT SINGER CASTLE"
<back>
The MacFarland Family of Stuart, Florida spends one month each summer visiting their property on Lake of the Isles. On Friday, June 30, 2006, they took a trip down river on their boat to visit Singer Castle on Dark Island. After completing their tour Craig and Michelle MacFarland and their sons Landen and Zachary stopped for a few minutes in the Castle gift shop to browse and to look for souvenirs. They ended up with a most unusual souvenir.

During their time in the Gift Shop, the strong thunder storms that swept through the region reached Singer Castle and deposited piles of hailstones on the docks and over the island. Landen and Zachary received an unexpected treat as they had never before seen snow or hail. Enough of the white stuff fell for the boys to make their first snowballs. A Singer Castle staff member took a picture of the boys so that they could show their friends and family.
